Be Still......

Happy Day to you all! Today's card is titled "Be Still" and for very good reason. I am waiting.......and waiting......not very patiently to hear about a job. UMMMMMMM...........
I really am trying to "be still". When I am really anxious about something, I get alot done that I have been putting off, so I guess all is not lost. ;0).
Today's card is a potpourri of ideas that have been banging around in my head:

All cardstock is Stampin' Up! Riding Hood Red, So Saffron, White. Scripture stamp is also from SU. The flower image is from a Heidi Grace set. Ribbon was purchased at Walmart and Rhinestone drops at JoAnn's. The So Saffron layer was run thru the Cuttlebug. I used the Threading Water Edger from Fiskars and White fabric paint on the ribbon.
Have a great fall day! Thanks for stopping by. God Bless!

Rejoice in Today

Happy Tuesday! I have another busy computer day. I am finishing a brochure for my hubby and his partner, it has been a process, since they want something much more professional looking than they had ordered in the beginning. It is good to get experience with programs I have not learned, so I guess even with the frustration-it's all good. :=)
Today's card is a gentle reminder to self to not let negativity creep in when I hit that frustration level. I used to just give up, but have learned to just take a few steps back, take a deep breath and try again. (SCS is a great stress reliever at these times)

Cardbase is Pacific Point layered with Confetti White. I used my Scallop Edger on the patterned paper, as well as another piece of Confetti White. The sentiment piece is layered on Brilliant Blue and stamped with Tempting Turquoise. The corners were punched with the Ticket Corner Punch and then blingage was added at each corner. 1 1/4 inch ribbon completes the card. ( i sure can't figure out that fuzzy spot on my pic.....)
OH! I finally got the call I have been waiting for, I have an interview on Friday morning! I will also be ordering my new laptop that I have been working towards this summer.......It's gonna be a great day!
Thanks for stopping by! God Bless!

With the Smallest Seed.....

With the smallest seed of faith, all things are possible. A good thing to remember during those tough times. Its really pretty ironic that the piece of paper you can see the least of on the card was the inspiration! That little piece of Designer paper under the sentiment is what started the whole thing. I wrestled with it for a couple of days. Sure didn't turn out like the picture in my head! (sometimes that is a SCARY thing). Anyway, I guess this card turned out okay.

Stampin' Up! products- Not Quite Navy, Tempting Turquoise, Confetti White cardstock. Leaf stamp was a demo give away. Sentiment-Anticipations Stamps, Accessories-Cuttlebug, Swiss Dots EF, Pearl stickums and the corners. Ribbon.

I have also been working on Julee's OSW (one sheet wonder) challenge. I'm hoping to get those pics posted tomorrow when the light is better .

Exodus 33:14

Another scripture card for today. I enjoy doing these. I don't remember if I've used this particular scripture stamp recently, but it is always a good thought to keep in front of us.

Cardbase and flourishes are Brilliant Blue from Stampin' Up! The flourishes are cut using my Cuttlebug (Provo Craft) and Quik Kut dies. The sunflowers are stamped and cut from a Stampendous picture frame stamp that I have had for years. They are colored with Bic Markers and accented with a gold glitter pen (I'm not sure if this really shows in this picture.) I used the Ticket Corner punch on the yellow cardstock, then added Dew Drops from Robin's Nest.
I'm anxious for a nice quiet weekend. I'm sure we will just sit around and vegetate.......it's been way too exciting around here lately!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by! God Bless!

Phillipians 3:3

Good day to you all. I hope all is well in your world. Today is my 31st wedding anniversary! What a wonderful husband I have to put up with me for this long1 ;0).......I made this card, thinking at first I would give it to him for an anniversary card, but changed my mind and made him another. I'll show that to you tomorrow.....

I really enjoy making scripture cards. It is nice to have several on hand to send to friends who need a lift. I didn't use any stamps on this one. The scripture is computer generated. Cardbase is Chocolate Chip from Stampin' Up!. All other paper is from DCWV stacks. Embellishments include Dew drops from Robin's Nest ( I got them from All that Scraps), Brads-Joann's, Paper Piercing Map Pack-SU, Corner Die and of course my close friend, the Cuttlebug. I trimmed my pattern paper with Deckle Edge scissors from Fiskars ( Does anyone else still use those?) Oh, yes, I used chalk on the light yellow layer and also on the scripture layer to add a little more dimension.

Hope this inspires! Have a great day!

Happy Friday!

Another busy day at my house, I can't seem to get sat down long enough to stamp a complete card. I have several that are started....then the idea chugged away. I'm sure those thoughts will chug back this way sometime soon and I'll finish! Today I am again using SU products from a while back. Take a look below:

Supplies: SU: Le Jardin DSP,Sage Shadow cardstock, Words of Wisdom (retired), ribbon, Off White and brown cardstock: Die Cuts with a View cardstock stack. Embellishments: DD Sunflower by Robin's Nest

I'm always afraid I'll miss something, let me know if I do.......Have an awesome weekend!
