Whew! I'm glad to be posting again, that is a sure sign that life is slowing down to normal again! We were out of town for a few days, then had holiday things to take care of. But, that is all done now :>). I made this card a few days ago when the BSU Broncos were playing in the Poinsettia Bowl......they lost, the first loss of the season for them. Bummer! Anyway, the colors in this card are a tribute to them.
I saw these calendars on Nancy Morgan's site last week and thought they were just adorable. They are quick and easy and a great way to use up some of those scraps! I plan to make some more soon, I'm busy with holiday stuff right now like everyone else!
There are only two sides showing here. It is made with a regular card size piece of card stock with a quarter of the year showing on each panel. Very fun and a nice little gift for those folks that work at a desk all day.
Do you like this new look? The background in from The Cutest Blog on the Block......you can access their awesome site by clicking the icon at the top right of my blog. They have some really fun looks and most everything is free for your use. The girls there also do some custom designing work! Hoping to post the calendars I have been working on tomorrow! Have a great night!
I am just loving this Upsy Daisy set from Stampin' Up! It sometimes takes me a while for things to grow on me. I've seen so many cool cards made with this set that I finally had to get it. It is alot of fun. It is a set that can be used for so many different occasions. Enjoy....
Supplies: Card base-White: Gina K, Glitter Brads-Marvy, everything else is from Stampin' Up! DP, Scallop Edge Punch, Upsy Daisy Stamp set, Mellow Moss cardstock and ink, Whisper White was used for layering.
I spoke with my sister yesterday and she mentioned an idea she had for a card.......now I'm not hijacking her idea, it just got me to thinking. I had bought the Argyle embossing folder a few weeks ago and hadn't used it yet, I think it really added to this card. I used Stampin'Up! cardstock-Taken with Teal, Glossy White, and Whisper White. The DP is SU-Ski Slope. The snowflakes were punched with a Martha Stewart snowflake punch out of Glitter paper I purchased at Target. (I LOVE it!) I used the Swirls embossing folder for the glossy layer. The sentiment is from Inkadinkado and stamped with Taken With Teal ink. The card base is White stock from Gina K-awesome!! (thanks Terri!) It is heavy so it doesn't bow with alot of layers.
Happy Day to you all! It has been a GOOD day so far. My son in the military will be home in about 4 weeks, we are counting the days! Today's card could be used for one of many celebrations.......birthday, wedding, promotion, maybe even for someone who is moving away. It was simple and fun to make.

A dog is man's best friend, right? I know that is the case at my house. We have a dachshund that my husband is completely ga-ga over. Her name is Sadie and she really brightens our day around here. Today's card features a dog image that I thought was pretty cute. It came in a set from Inkadinkado that I purchased at Costco. The sentiment is also from Inkadinkado.

I trust everyone had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends. My week was a pretty busy with schedule changes at work, we did get to finally have Thanksgiving on Saturday. A few days late, but having family together is the most important part of the day for us. I finally got to sit down and do a little stamping last night. I was surfing on SplitCoast yesterday and saw several cards for a color challenge they had going. This got me to thinking.....the colors I used here are similar to the challenge, but not what they were subscribing, so I guess I can't put this in the challenge, but anyway, that is where the idea came from. See details below:
