Crafter's of Faith September Hop

Welcome to the first Crafters of Faith Blog Hop! We are so blessed to have you stop by and celebrate the beauty of AUTUMN with us! The Crafters of Faith blogging group is a joyous blending of christian friends ~ joined together to fellowship, share our faith, build friendships and craft together! I am the first stop for our little hop.   Please follow along and take a peek at the other gals creations.

September is my hostess month and I wanted to convey my love for FALL.  The ladies were asked to create a card or scrapbook page that included fall colors, fruits and vegetables that would remind us of harvest.  The fall festival of Sukkoth is just around the corner.  The "Feast of Tabernacles", to many Biblical historians is the actual time of Christ's Birth and manly people believe this will also be the season of HIS return.

To celebrate in this glorious season upon us, here is the card I created for you!

All items used are from Stampin' Up!, with the exception of the Dew Drops (Robin's Nest) and the sentiment.

From here, continuing hopping to Carolina's  blog to see what Autumn splendor she has waiting for you! We also have a special little giveaway for one lucky hopper today and you can find that on Kelly's blog - the last stop on the hop!

Thank you for taking time to share in our hop today.  Be blessed!

Crafter's of Faith August Challenge

Happy last day of August!  Since it is the last day of the month, the Crafter's of Faith girls will all post their challenge cards .  Please check my sidebar for links to all the other beautiful creations from this group.
Liz W is our hostess this month and she asked us to create a card using our birthstone color.  My birthday is in July, that means "RUBY".  My card is made using all Stampin' Up! products.  The stamp set is "Upsy Daisy", a classic, go to set for me.  You just can't go wrong with it.  Life has been pretty busy this month since hubby and I are transitioning into the management position here at our RV park.  Upsy Daisy pulled me through.......

A pretty, easy straight forward card, pretty useable and practical.  Thank you for popping in, I'm off to look at the other girls' creations, please join me.....Have a happy day!

Baby Boy Card

HAPPY TUESDAY! My card today is for the former manager of the RV park here. She and her husband are expecting a baby boy any day now.  It has been so HOT, she is so anxious!!  I anxious for her too.  Love to hold babies, I'm hoping I will get the opportunity to hold the little guy before they move.

Cardstock is from Stampin' UP!  Whisper White and Not Quite Navy (I think).  The image is one I picked up at Big Lots a long time ago.  DSP is from a Debbie Mumm pack a few years ago. Ribbon is SU also.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful day!!

Alyah's Birthday

My goodness, it has been so long since I have posted.  Life has been SO busy, busy.  Fall is coming, so things should slow down a bit.  Hubby and I are now managing an RV park full time.  The transition has taken a big bite out of my day!  I'm getting a bit faster at my daily duties and will be moving into a bigger space with extra room for crafting soon.

Today's card is one I made for my granddaughter, Alyah's 7th Birthday.  She is wild about horses these days (no pun intended, snicker, snicker!).  She also is a lover of purple and pink.  She was quite happy with her card and gift when it arrived in England.
The image I used is Gift Horse digi, by Whimsy Stamps.  Cardstock and DSP are from Stampin' UP! as well as the flower punch.  I colored this happy guy with koh-i-noor pencils and then blended them.  There is a touch of sparkle around the bridle and the saddle, but hard to see in this feeble example of photography.....

Wishing you all a bright, blessed day!  Thank you for stopping by!

Tuesday, July 31, 2012

Good Tuesday morning!  Since today is the last day of the month, that means it is time for the Crafter's of Faith!  This month our fearless leader Kelly, sent us each a darling little kit with which to build our card.   The image is from CC Designs and is called Butterfly Nora.  She is a cutie, don't you think! I colored her with koh-i-noor pencils and blended with mineral spirits. (I just love those pencils.)  DSP by Colorbok.  I loved the colors in my little kit!  I added a bit of glitter glue to Nora's little wings, Prima flowers compliment the DSP colors.

Please take time to pop in on the other girls from the Crafter's of Faith group.  You will find their names on my sidebar.  We are a talented group of ladies!!  Have a wonder filled day!! Blessings!

Happy Friday in blogland!  Life has been mighty busy and full these last few weeks.  I finally got a bit of time to play with paper.  My photo was taken outside in the late afternoon, I seem to be in between thunderstorms this week.
Pretty simple, straight-forward card.  I embossed glossy paper with several different folders, then punched them with a square punch, then rounded the  corners.  The lavender heart was cut free-hand and embossed also.  It is difficult to see the "cherish" that is stamped on glossy and cut with a nestie.  Ribbon is Stampin'Up!, as well as the cardstock I used.  Rhinestones are from Craft Warehouse $1 bin.

Have a wonderful weekend!  Blessings!

Happy Monday, All!  I managed to get a bit of stamping done this past weekend.  It felt pretty good!  Today's card is a simple one, I used Upsy Daisy from SU, stamped in Tuxedo Black from Memento. The pattern paper I used is from DCWV, all other cardstock and the butterfly are also from Stampin' Up!     Simple, simple card. You can never have too many Thank You cards on hand.

Have a wonderful day!

Crafters of Faith June Challenge

Good Sabbath morning to all!  Today is the last day of the month and that means it is time of our Crafters of Faith Challenge to be shared. Our awesome hostess, Liz D asked us to create a card or scrapbook page that is full of summer fun.  We needed to include something blue, something raised with pop dots, a sun and a summer or beach toy......Well, this is what I came up with.  I'm still trying to like it.  :o(
Recipe: Cardbase-Stampin' Up!, DCWV supplied the stock I used for layering as well as the pattern paper. The blingage on the flip flops came fro Craft Warehouse $1 bin (love it!!)

I was able to get most of the elements in, I don't have beach toys sort of stamps with me here.  The inside of the card is blank, so I can use this for a Thank You or Thinking of You.  I like to have a few "empty" cards, sometimes you need one just because.
Enjoy you day, hope it is filled with sunshine, love and hugs!!  Be Blessed!

Another Birthday Card

Happy Tuesday!  My card today is for my wonderful son-in-law, Jim.  He is truly a gift, he takes such good card of our daughter and their three kids.  I wanted a masculine card and this image from Free Digital Vintage Stamps fit the bill.

Cardstock is from Stampin' Up, as is the green marker I used to color on the car.  Pattern paper is from a paper pack I received from my sister, Terri a few years ago.  I used my Scor-Pal to make diagonal lines in each corner, the photo makes this hard to see, but it looks great when you meet this card in person. The pearls in corners are from Craft Warehouse.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Be blessed!

Happy Birthday, Jay-meister man!

Happy Tuesday!  My card today is for another grandson, Jay.  He is six years old today.  He is a pretty active guy, so I thought a skateboarding dude would work for him.  This card will go with his present on Sunday when we go to his party. (Becky, no fair showing him the card before the party....)....(jk-I know you won't!)

Card base is from Stampin' Up!, as is the blue embossed layer.  The image is also from SU, from several years ago.  Patterned paper is from DCWV.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Be blessed!

May Flowers-Crafter's of Faith

Happy last day of May!  My card today is for the Crafter's of Faith group I belong to.  The awesome Patti was our hostess this month and she asked that we create a card with a "May Basket" theme.

My May basket is a hanging basket.  The "basket" is embossed with an SU folder and then cut with large scalloped square nestie.  The flowers were cut from some paper that I have been carting around for a VERY long time.  Background paper is from Stampin' Up! also.  The basket is hanging with a cord I crocheted and is held in place with a small brad from JoAnn's.

Be sure to check out the other girls' creations.  We are a talented and blessed group of ladies!  Thanks so much for stopping in today.  Big BLESSINGS!!

For the David-man

Happy Tuesday, all!  My card today is for a grandson who will turn 5 years old on Friday. He is an absolute cutie, with big brown eyes and a mischievous grin!  I just love him to pieces!  But then I feel the same way about my other 9 grandkids!

Cardstock is from Stampin' Up!, DSP is DCWV.  Image is a digi from Bugaboo.  I just love their stamps, so whimsical!
Hope you enjoy your day!  Thanks for stopping in.  Blessings!

Happy Day, Friends!  The card today was from my Mom for Mother's Day.  She loves purple, so this just spoke to me.  No stamping involved.......Embossing folder and DSP did all the work.....(I like it when that happens.)  The flower is actually four layers and a brad-VIOLLA!!  BAMMM!  Done!
I like it when that happens!

Well, I have a few cards I need to get done, so off I go!  Have a blessed day!  *SMILE!*
Thank you for stopping by today.

COF Mini May Challenge

Happy Friday everyone!  The sun is shining and the weekend looks lovely!  I took some time to stamp this morning and I am pleased with the result.  This card is for the mini challenge with the Crafter's of Faith group that I belong to.  This is a close knit group of believing girls who share their craft and pray for one another.  We are spread out all over the country and in Canada. It is a blessing to know there are gals who I can share with and KNOW they are praying when there is a need!

This week our awesome leader, Kelly asked us to create a card using green/yellow'purple and have something floral.  I found this image in my file of already stamped images.  I enjoyed coloring it, using koh-i-noor pencils and blending with mineral spirits.  I have much better results when I use this medium, rather than Copic markers, don't know why I stress myself......;o). Card base and DSP are from Stampin' Up!  Flowers brads are from JoAnn's (LOVE that place!!) I used nesties to cut the oval and scallop oval, then used my Scor Pal along the bottom.  Don't know if the picture lets you see this, the grass is hiding it a bit.

Be sure to check out the creations of the others ladies, you will find the links to their sites on my sidebar.  You will be blessed by their work and by the sweet spirit of each of them.

Have a blessed day and hug your Momma this weekend!!

Wednesday, May 9, 2012

Happy Wednesday everyone!  My card today is for Mother's Day for my husband's Mom.  She is  a sweet Christian lady who has treated my like her own for a lot of years.  Please excuse the shadow on the picture, I was trying to beat the sprinklers here at the rv park.
My card base is Stampin' Up! Whisper White, it is layered with black stock that I ran through the Cuttlebug with an embossing folder.  The image is SU also and is colored with Koh-i-noor pencils . Scalloped Oval and small oval are cut with Nestibilities.  Ribbon and bling are from Michaels.
Thank you for stopping by and.....
Have a happy day!  Hug someone you love!!

Wedding Card for Allie and Eric

Hello and Happy Friday!  We returned home from our trip last Friday and I have been playing catch up since! The card I have for you today is for a niece's wedding tomorrow.  Allie is a young at heart girl and she has chosen White, Hot Pink and Black as her wedding colors. Haven, one of our granddaughter's is serving as flower girl-I'll post a picture!
Cardstock and stamps are from Stampin' Up! Glitter paper is DCWV (I think).  I used a spring flower cuttlebug folder and the flourishes are from a set of dies that my hubby bought for me years ago from Archivers.
I'm sorting through pictures of our trip and hope to post some of them soon.  We took well over 1000 pictures, so it is a bit of a chore.
Have a happy day and a wonderful weekend!!

Ramblings......

As the time gets closer for our trip to England, I get more anxious and it is hard to concentrate on much.  I've made my lists, and each day I cross off a few more to-dos.  When my brain get overloaded, music always brings me back to the place I need to be.  I listen to most kinds of music, although there are a few genres that I just don't enjoy.  Currently, I've been blessed by The Piano Guys.  Have you heard of them?

They are wonderful musicians and the love of their craft just shines through.........

Here is another of my favorites,

They have many videos posted on YouTube, check them out.

Thanks for stopping by today, God Bless!

March Crafters of Faith Challenge

Hello Stampers!  Today my card is for the Crafter's of Faith March Challenge.  Our hostess this month is the VERY talented Carolina.  She asked us to make a card using a lighthouse or something that makes you think "light". Also, we were to use two different DSP and some "bling".  Well, I got the lighthouse and the paper right, but my bling is pretty muted.  My card ended up looking pretty masculine, so rhinestones and swirls just wouldn't work!  The buckle and ribbon is "guy bling"!  (I'm stretching here, I know!!)  I am pleased with the card, except for that lovely shadow in the picture-sorry about that....

Lighthouse image is from Sweet and Sassy Stamps, DSP is from DCWV, cardstock is Stampin' Up!  Ribbon and buckle are from JoAnn's.

Please check my sidebar for links to the other gals cards.  They are a very talented group and I am blessed to be a part of them.

Thank you for stopping in today.  Be blessed!

Happy Monday!  Today my cards are is for a Bridal Shower for a niece that is occurring on Saturday.  I am not able to attend as I will be attending a Baby Shower for another niece. That is the other card you see.  These showers are on the SAME day, at the SAME hour, in DIFFERENT towns.  Each town is about 3 hours, in DIFFERENT directions  from where I live.  I knew of the Baby shower in January and just got the invite for the Bridal shower 2 weeks ago,  sooooo the plans to attend the Baby shower had already been made.  I WILL be attending the wedding in May, though, so I guess everything works out.

This is an all Stampin' Up! card, except for the colored rhinestones that are in the center of each flower.

I love how the baby shower card turned out.  Audrey and Scott are decorating the nursery in a Noah's Ark theme and I just happened to have Debbie Mumm's Noah's Ark paper stack.  How cool is that?!  I cut the animals out and mounted them on scalloped squares cut with my Cuttlebug and Nesties.  Just love 'em!!  The background paper has a bit of a sparkle on the darker lines.  The small buttons came from WalMart.

Hope you enjoyed my offerings today.  I had a blast making them!  Thanks for stopping by and BE BLESSED!!

I "UN" Did It!

The Crafters of Faith group that I belong to was given an "UN Birthday" mini challenge this week.  Our wonderful leader, Kelly, is the brain child of this challenge. The idea is to make a birthday card, that doesn't make you think "Birthday" when you look at it.  This is what I came up with.  The card is actually for my oldest son's birthday in April.  He is a big fan of Abbott and Costello and I thought this image worked for that.  It is a freebie from Free Vintage Digital Stamps.  The circle that the image is on is actually on the inside of the card on pop dots so that it stands out when the card is closed. Cardstock is from an unknown source on an unknown planet......I've had it for YEARS and it came in an assorted pack that I purchased at a store that sells liquidated kinds of things.  Brads are from JoAnn's and the sentiment is computer generated.  The picture doesn't really allow you to see it, it says I say Old Man, "Whose On First".  This is sure to get a chuckle from my son, as he loves that Abbott and Costello skit.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Be sure and check the other gals creations, they will be posting throughout the weekend. You can find links to all their awesome sites on the sidebar. Have a most glorious weekend!!

Happy Birthday Eden!

Today is my youngest grand daughter's 1st Birthday.  She is such a cutie! her name is Eden and she has the most beautiful round face and eyes-take a look.....
This picture was taken when she was just a few months old, such a doll, don't you think?  I made the card below for her and the report is that she loved it!  Her older sister Avi, tells me that she ate it up!!  (chewed on the corner of it while she was looking at it.... :0)  )
Recipe: Gina K Luxury Brown cardstock, Stampin' Up! Whisper White, and DSP, DCWV Pink textured cardstock.  Image is a free digi that I picked up and is colored with copics. I used a glitter pen on the swirls. (you really can't see this in the picture. )
This picture was taken outside on one of our nice days here.  I'm praying for Spring, I 'm pretty ready for it!!
Thanks for stopping by today.  God Bless!!

Crafters of Faith Challenge

Good March morning!  Today I am posting the card I made for our Crafter's of Faith Challenge.  Jackie was our hostess for this challenge and we were to create a card with non traditional February colors, have a love theme,  use nature and have a circle on the the card. WEEEELLLLLL- this is what I came up with.......my circle turned into an oval and the love part of the card is the image.  This image is from SU and it is my ALL TIME FAV, I LOVE IT  stamp!!
Recipe-Cardstock,scallop punch, ribbon and image-Stampin' Up!, colored with koh-i-noor pencils, oval nestie to cut image, pearls from Michaels.
This card is for a special sister in law for her birthday in a few weeks. She is a simply elegant kind of gal, so I know she will like the simple lines and the pearls on this card.
Thanks for the great challenge, Jackie!  Be sure to check the other gals creations out also, you will find a link to their sites on the sidebar.

Other Projects.......

Hi!  Today I wanted to share another of my interests.  I learned to knit when I was about 10 year. old, but never did anything with it until a couple of years ago.  One of my sisters, Terri,  (also a stamper) and a sweet friend, Mrs. Henry are both knitters. Mrs. Henry started making dishcloths and giving them to ladies she knew. This way, I remembered to pray for her......anyway, I decided to start making them too.  Then went to hats and socks for my grandkids, now I am working on sweaters for each of them. I started the sweater project last July and am now working on sweater # 5.  Only 5 more sweaters to go!!  Anyway, the sweater pictured here is for my grandson Ki.  The finish work is not done yet (sewing the inside of the sleeves, finishing the placket and sewing on the button) The finish work is not my favorite thing to do, so I started Alyah's sweater instead.  When I get a bit bored with her sweater, I will finish Ki's.  Both of there sweaters will go to England with us in April.
As usual the lighting in my picture is not so good.  Spring is coming and I will get to take pictures outside!!
Thank you for spending a few minutes with my ramblings today.  Blessings!!

Recipe:  Card base-Gina K Luxury White, Layering and pattern paper layer-DCWV, Cuttlebug and embossing folder, image is from Bugaboo Stamps.  She is  a digi colored with Copics, I sponged lightly with SU Positively Pink. And the flower is from........I really wish I could remember.  Took them out of the package and now I can't remember for the life of me......you know how that goes!!
Thanks for stopping in!  BLESSINGS!!

Valentine for the Hubs

Good Morning!  I know it is February 16th and I just now posting this valentine.  It was for my hubby and honestly, I did finish it until Valentines Day.  I like how it turned out though.  I had ideas rolling in my head for days (sometimes they get lost in there with all the cobwebs!!)  This card is entirely Stampin' Up! except for the black sparkly panel (DCWV) and the sentiment (Clear Stamps).  Oh and the Cuttlebug Embossing folder.....He liked the card also.

I also spent quite a bit of time making him one of these:
52 reasons I love you
He just loved it!  I found it on Pinterest, took a couple of weeks to make, but SO worth it! You can find more information here.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Be Blessed!!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Love Day to All-
I have been MIA the last week, so busy with so many things.  I made Valentine Cards for all my grandkids and got them sent off.  We are blessed with 10 grands so far.  The cards I made were postcard size and pretty plain.  I need to be simple with that many to make. Didn't get pictures taken of them.  The fun part for the kids is that they get MAIL with their name on it!!  Remember how much fun that was when you were a kid?
Today I am sharing the cards I made for our "Sister Swap".

I used the same image for both and the same paper, using the "frame" and the "oval".  I wish I could get some good light for my pictures.......oh well, SPRING is coming!
Have a wonderful day and share it with someone you love.!

The Cream in my Coffee...

Oh, happy day!  I got the opportunity to play a bit yesterday.  This is one of the cards that I came up with.  I thought it would be fun to paper piece the coffee mugs and I really am pleased with how they turned out!  The inside of the card says "You're the cream in my coffee."  This is  a card I will give to my sweet hubby sometime.
Recipe:Card base-Gina K Luxury White, Pink and light blue cardstock are from my scrap pile but are from SU!. Blue layer is embossed with the Argyle Cuttlebug folder.  Coffee cups stamps are from Clear Stamps.  DSP is SU also.  Brads are from JoAnn's.
Wishing you all a wonderful Monday evening!  Be Blessed!!

Crafters of Faith Creation Challenge

Good Morning All!  Today my card is for the Crafters of Faith group I belong to.  We were to make a card with a "creation" theme.  We could use anything from flowers, trees-something that reminds us of God's beautiful world.  I am a mountain lover, so the image was easy enough to choose. I did have a bit of a fit in the coloring, did it more than once!  (she said with a chuckle, because she loves to color!)
The image comes from a Gina K Designs set called "Happy Camper", by Theresa Momber, one of my stamping heroes. That girl is seriously good with color and sponging.
Try as I might to bling this baby up, I just couldn't get anything to look right.  I tried ribbon, rhinestones, pearls, brads.  Guess you just can't add to God's beautiful work.  The verse I used, Psalms 46:10, describes how I feel when I am on the top of a mountain peak and can see for MILES.  It is so QUIET and the beauty of creation is all around you.
Cardstock is from Stampin' UP! and Bazzill. I colored the image with Koh-i-nor pencils and blended with mineral spirits.  I used my ancient Fiskars Deckled Edge scissors to trim the verse.  I still love those little beauties!
Be sure to check the sidebar for links to the other ladies blogs to check out their "creations".
Thanks so much for stopping in today, and take a minute to slow down, breathe in and enjoy God's Creation!.

Two More for Avi

Good Morning!  Boy, this week as sure flown by!  I have been busy doing some knitting and cooking and other fun things!  Today, I have two more cards that I sent to my granddaughter.

This first one is for a friend who is a boy. It is pretty clean and simple.

This card is for another of Avi's girlfriends.  I cut the purse with my Cuttebug and added a butterfly brad fro Stampin' Up! and a couple of rhinestone blingys at the corners of the purse. Again, it is pretty simple.  The insides of these cards were left blank so that Avi could write whatever she wants.
As usual, cardstock is from Stampin' Up! and pattern paper is DCWV. The small flower stamps on the girl card come from a Gina K Designs set.  The car stamp is a clear stamp from many moons ago....

Thanks so much for stopping in today!  Be Blessed!!

Hidee Ho and Happy Monday!

It is late afternoon here, I have spend a goodly portion of my day playing with paper and it was WONDERFUL!!  My oldest granddaughter calls me just about every Sunday afternoon and when we spoke yesterday, she said that 4 of her friends were having birthdays soon, so I told her I would whip up some cards for her.  She liked that idea, but said to me "I'll try not to be too disappointed if you can't get them done, Grammy."  She is thinking about times when I was working and couldn't get into the paper mood.  Then I reminded her that I was no longer working, so I should be able to get them for her. I cranked out all four today.  Pretty happy with myself if I do say so........2 cards a day is usually my max!. I'll share two today and two on another day-how's that work for ya?  First the two that I like the best:

And then there is this one:

I tried to make the cards have a more "grown up" feel for her, after all she is 10 years old now (she keeps reminding me).  I didn't put a sentiment on them because I wanted Avigale to feel free to write whatever she wanted. As you can see, I'm kind of  a clean and simple kinda of gal.  Pretty straight-forward and not a lot of fluff.....just me.

The cardbase on each card is Stampin' Up!, layers are from DCWV Big Summer Stack (both patterned paper and cardstock).  Used my Cuttlebug (LOVE that BUG!!) to cut the shapes and added bits of blingage that I had stuffed away, free from all harm!

Hope you enjoy my offerings today!  Wishing you a peaceful evening!!

Crafters of Faith Color Challenge

I'm a made in America, Patriotic, Americana kind of girl so I was pretty excited my my sister Patti, gave me these colors with which to build a card. The assignment comes from a challenge from the Crafter's of Faith, a small group of ladies I am privileged to belong to. Each gal was to give a color combination to another one and we were to take it and build a card. My colors were Very Vanilla, Blue and Bravo Burgundy.  Although my colors aren't exact, they are reasonably close and I am pleased with the outcome.

Recipe:
Cardbase-Gina K Luxury Ivory, Bazill-Blue cardstock, Stampin' Up-Bravo Burgundy,
DCWV-Summer Stack-Pattern Paper, Spellbinders-Circle and Scallop Circle Nestibilities,
Misc.-USA letters, Silver dots, Pop Dots.

Please take some time to enjoy the other creations from the talented groups of paper lovers.  There are links to all their blogs on my sidebar.

MOJO 224

Good Snowy Morning All!
My card today is for the MOJO Monday Challenge 224.  These have always been such fun challenges.  I haven't entered often, but I do enjoy looking at everyone's creations.  The VERVE girls are a pretty awesome bunch.

The colors look better in real life-I promise.  It has been so hard to get good light with the weather we are having.  I'll continue to work on that.  Most everything here is from my unorganized stash, Stampin' Up! always plays a big part in my creations, as well as Nestibilities.  The pattern paper is from a stack my sister Terri gave to me, from Kioshi Paper Company.  Fun patterns!
Thank you for stopping by today!  Stay warm and dry.

Crazy 4 Challenge C4C119

Oh Happy Day!  It's a beautiful, crisp day here in central Washington.  Perfect day to stay inside, 'cuz it's COLD, baby!  7 degrees! DH is home today because of the MLK holiday.  He has some carpentry plans today.  Onward, stamping soldiers to my card.........

I made this card with the Crazy 4 Monochromatic Blue   C4C119 challenge in mind.  I have had the patterned paper for quite some time, it is so pretty, it was hard for me to use. I just don't want to part with it I guess.   Cardstock comes from Stampin' Up! and Bazzil. Nestibilities were used to cut the shapes and a bit of vellum and butterfly punch from Martha Stewart adorns the oval blue that was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. Sentiment is from Stampin' Up!

Thanks for stopping by today!  God Bless!

Good Day All!  Today my card is for my grandson, Asher, whose birthday was Friday.  We are going to his house for his birthday party today.  He had a pretty rough start, being 5 weeks early and had some issues that caused him to stay in the NICU for several .  He was wired to all kinds of contraptions!  Now he is 4 years old and wired in a VERY little boy way.  He has a great imagination and we enjoy pretending with him!

Cardstock is Stampin' Up! Pattern paper is from a DCWV 12 x 12 Summer paper pack from 2009. The image is from Annabelle Stamps- Lil Monster Balloons.   He is colored with COPICs (I need to get better at my shading).  I put to small star brads on his shirt and the large star on the balloon is a button.  I apologize for the shadows in the picture, just couldn't find any good light this morning. :0(

I plan to enter this in the Annabelle Stamps Anything Goes Challenge this week.
Thanks so much for dropping in today!  Be Blessed!!

Gettin' My Feet Wet Again!

So I spent a goodly portion of yesterday getting to know my paper stash again. There's some good old friends in there! What you might not know about me is that my hubby and I are full time RVers. We live in a 37 foot fifth wheel, so my crafting space is minimal, but I am THANKFUL for it. Since we started this RV journey 2 1/2 years ago, we have upgraded from a 29' 5th wheel with no slides to this one. It has 3 slides!! I am blessed! I even have a washer/dryer. Life is good!! " So on to my card," (she said with fear and trembling, since she hasn't posted for such a long time!!)

What I can tell you is that the cardstock and DP that I used is from Stampin' Up! I spy nestibilities in there also and the use of some ancient flower punches. The sentiment is from Verve a few years ago. I haven't purchased many stamping goodies in the last year, I'll try to remedy that soon! : 0).......

I hope you enjoy my offerings today, I did get my feet wet......and they are COLD! Its only 18 degrees here. BRRRR!

Thanks for stopping by and BE BLESSED!!!!

I Might Be Back......

Good Morning ! After some gentle prodding-okay-BIG SISTER prodding, (thanks Patti!) I've gotten back on the stamping/papercrafting wagon. it has been a VERY long time since I last posted, a flood of water is under the bridge. When I posted in June 2010, I was in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota working, now DH and I are in Moses Lake, WA working. We were both working for the University of Washington, at the end of December, I resigned my position and now I am an Executive Domestic Engineer! Lovin' this position!! All that to say, that I now should have more crafting time! WOOHOO!!

My hunk of a husband and I are planning a trip to England in April to see our youngest son and his family. They are are in the military and stationed there. We have not seen Jim for 2 years, so this momma is pretty anxious.

I've spent a bit of time stamping cards for my grandkids and doing some knitting. So I may post pictures of knit projects too. I hope you enjoy them.

~Blessings!!
