Cutie Putootie

Good Monday Morning! Hope your weekend was a good one. It has been HOT here where I live! So, staying in and stamping is a wonderful thing. Yesterday my wonderful sis and I had a Girls Day out. We went to Archiver's (Have you been to one??) Don't forget your drool bib when you go. Then we went to lunch and of course to Costco. It was a good day. We don't get that opportunity often because of work schedules and distance. Thanks again for the great day, Terri!
On to my card for today. I CASED the sketch from a card I saw on Amy Sheffler's blog. Thanks so much for your creativity, Amy. She is a talented gal, be sure and visit her sometime. Got to use my new Nestibilites on this one too! What fun!

Proud to be an American

Good Thursday morning to you!! I'm looking forward to the Fourth of July with this patriotic card. I had my patriotism instilled in me by my kind, sweet stepfather who passed away in 2006. I really miss his smile and heckling laugh......Also, I have a son in the Air Force who will be leaving for Afghanistan in September. I try hard not to think about this.......it's pretty scary, but I know that the good Lord will protect him and his wonderful wife and kids who will be staying home. Here goes:

Supplies: Cardstock: Confetti White, Rocket Red, Stampin' Up!, Navy Blue: Bazzil papers, Patterned paper by Provo Craft. Markers: Rocket Red, Brilliant Blue. Stampin'Up! Stamp from Embossing Arts. Co. Embellishlments: Star Buttons and Ribbon: Walmart.

Go Girl Fun

Happy Monday afternoon, boy the time flies when you try to get things done. I'm not sure how I managed to work outside the home. I manage to keep myself pretty busy around here. Of course, I never let myself think about stamping very much then ! I'm having such a good time now.......maybe I won't go back to work.......sure, like that will happen. I'll start to go stir crazy I'm sure.
Okay, enough babbling! Today I have another just for fun card. I'm playing around in my scrap box, trying to use little bits and pieces up.......sooooo, I can make more bits and pieces!!! Great plan don't you think? It's hard to say what came from where when I do this. I can tell you that the stamp is from Kolette Hall, I got it at Michaels in one of their fun bins. The flowers are a retired SU daisy punch and the brads are from JoAnne's.

Have a great day!! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Friday!

Another busy day at my house, I can't seem to get sat down long enough to stamp a complete card. I have several that are started....then the idea chugged away. I'm sure those thoughts will chug back this way sometime soon and I'll finish! Today I am again using SU products from a while back. Take a look below:

Supplies: SU: Le Jardin DSP,Sage Shadow cardstock, Words of Wisdom (retired), ribbon, Off White and brown cardstock: Die Cuts with a View cardstock stack. Embellishments: DD Sunflower by Robin's Nest

I'm always afraid I'll miss something, let me know if I do.......Have an awesome weekend!

Whew!

Wow, I sure seem to find myself busy now that I have so much free time.......funny how that works.
The card I made for today can be used for either a wedding or anniversary I guess. You will find that alot of my stamps are older SU stamps. I was a demonstrator for the company way back when it was still the two sisters. It has sure grown into a wonderful enterprise!! I have a hard time parting with even one stamp, I know I will use them again. Fads come and go and I find that there are stamps in my older sets that still work today! It is unfortunate that they are no longer available though. Had a lot of trouble with the lighting today, that glossy paper can make things shiny.

Supplies: Stampin'Up! : Glossy White cardstock, Heart from Kindness Shared (an old celebration set) Pink cardstock from Die Cuts With a View Stack. Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder (gotta love it!) Silver brads, backed with small dots of pink cardstock. Border cutout from Fiskars
Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy the summer!

How SWEET It Is!

Well, I am home again and happy to be here. It is always fun to go, but then it is always GREAT to come home again! I was able to do a little stamping over the weekend. It was nice to get into my craft/spare bedroom and smell paper again.

For today's card I used a variety of tools and only two stamps. Not really sure where this one will go, but it is nice to be able to stock pile a few cards and have them on hand.

Supplies: Cardstock: Ruby Red, So Saffron, Blue Bayou, Kraft Stamps: "Sweet" from So Very Set, "Flower" from Pocket Fun Ink: Basic Black, Versamark Embellishments: Large Flower cut with my sis's Cricut (thanks Patti), middle flower:Daisy (Stampin' Up! awhile back) and small flower from somewhere along time ago also !! Summer Fun

Here is a sunny card I made on a whim.....I'm not much of a girl to use my brayer for its intended purpose, but did play a little with this card. Brayering seems to work the best on glossy paper. For this card I used yellow and pink ink to come up with the orange sherbet look...kinda cool, I think.

Supplies: Cardstock only Orange,YoYo Yellow Stamps: Warm Words, Punch: Spring Flower Ink: Basic Black, YoYo Yellow, Pink Passion, Black Brad
Have a wonderful summer day! Thanks for stopping by!

WOO HOO !!!

I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!! I finally got brave enough today to put one of my cards on the SplitCoastStampers site. (This is a site that I visit OFTEN to get ideas). If didn't take very long and I had two very nice comments! What a lift that is!! I am still kind of struggling with being home, after being in the workforce for many years. Having the confidence to try new things has always been a process for me so this is a pretty good confidence builder. Just makes a girl want to keep creating!!

So Very Cute!

Happy Friday to everyone! I made a challenge to my self a while back to make cards using only the scraps in my paper box!. The only "new" piece I let myself use was for the card base. Then the color combination would have to come from my bits and pieces. It was kinds of a fun challenge to self. Below is one of the cards I came up with:

Supplies: Cardstock DCWV, Stamps: So Very Set, Stampin' Up! Sarah, DOTS. Punch: Photo Corners, Stampin' Up! Brads: JoAnn's Fabic.

Hoping everyone has a fabulous weekend! I'm off to Birthday parties and spending time with the G-Kids!

Oh So Lovely

Todays card was so much fun to make. The colors look really nice together I think. I saw the the shadow behind the brads on a card from the SCS site. I just punched holes in cardstock and used the circles......perfect!! Centering the brads on them are a trick though, because they are so small. But they are easy to replace when you mess one up!!! HEEHEE...... I really enjoy using my Mat Pack also. It is nice to have a tool that helps to space my piercing. Again, the Cuttlebug comes thru to add texture and wow factor. I do seem to have a bit of trouble getting cardstock to stick to the embossed texture though. Any suggestions out there?

Supplies: All Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted. Cardstock-Taken With Teal,Chocolate Chip, Confetti White. Marker; Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black Stamp Pad. Stamps: Oh So Lovely,
Paper Piercing-Mat Pack. Organdy Ribbon. Swirls Embossing Folder. Silver Brads
Thanks for stopping by today. Have a blessed day!!

My First Try

This will be the first time I have shared one of my creations on this blog. I have a slideshow of my cards on another blog. This should show a little more detail and give me some experience with what looks good. Please bear with me............

Stamps and Cardstock: Stampin' Up! Cuttlebug embossing folder, Brads

Most of the supplies I use come from Stampin Up! They are a wonderful company with excellent products. I find paper and other embellishments at local craft stores. I would love feedback and questions or tips. I'm hoping to be able to share several times a week as time and creative juice allow.

Stamping Obsession

Card Making

I'm an avid stamper who has just found herself with alot of time on her hands, so I guess this is where I will spend it. I follow many stamping blogs and also write another blog myself. Since seeing so many cool stamping blogs out there, I have wanted to give it a try. Now I seems to have an opportunity. We will see what happens.......
