Happy Birthday Jim!

Good Day to you all. It is not quite noon here, so I am in between Good Morning and Good Afternoon!
The card I have today, I made over the weekend for my son Jim. He will be 26 tomorrow....he is my baby. I try not to think about it much, cuz' that might make me feel OLD!
I started by sponging the background with Memento's Summer Sky and Danube Blue. I was hoping to make it look like clouds over the mountains. I'm getting there, but still have a ways to go with sponging/blending colors. (I'd like to be a mouse in Theresa Mombers' closet, just to watch how she does this!!) The green is Stampin' Up's Mellow Moss. Cardstock is GinaK's Chocolate Kiss and SU Whisper White. Pattern paper is from a Basic Grey stack. Happy Birthday and Mountain images are from the Happy Camper set by Theresa Momber.
Hope you enjoy! Have a great day. God Bless!

365 Cards Challenge-Aug. 29

Happy Saturday! I don't usually post on Saturday, but I came across this challenge blog and wanted to join in. The blog is called 365 Cards-a new challenge for each day of the year. How fun!!
Today the challenge was to make a sporty kind of card. I bought this baseball image from Gina K Designs several months ago and have never used it on a card. I haven't been happy with the way that I color it. Still not quite there, but it is getting better. Since baseball is the All-American sport, I used this patriotic paper from DCWV. Card stock is Stampin' Up! Circles cut with a Marvy punch and blue panel cut with Nesties Labels One (I think). Colored the image with Koh-i-noor Pencils and blended with OMS. Star buttons from Walmart.
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for stopping by. God Bless!

Mojo Monday 101

Good afternoon, boy the day flies when you are busy. I have been planning to play along with Mojo Monday all week, and finally today, I got to it.
The challenge was to be a square card, but mine is a rectangle, standard size....the sketch fit pretty well though.
This card is literally made with scrap stuff, so it is hard to give credit for each piece. I can tell you for sure that the cardstock is from Stampin' Up! The lower pattern paper is also SU. Upper paper is from a DCWV stack. I used a Quikutz embossing folder, small circle scalloped nesties with my Cuttlebug. The stamped image is from Anita's (Sugarloaf Industries). I used Really Rust ink to stamp it. The ribbon is SU also. Well, I guess my memory is better than I thought......:D!
Thanks for stopping by today. God Bless!

Much Ado.....

Well, after fiddling with my blog for quite awhile today......you can see I changed a few things. I was feeling just a bit cluttered, so I changed the template to something that looked a little cleaner. I guess since I can't rearrange the furniture in my RV, I have to rearrange SOMETHING!! ;0)

Played around with those Examiner links and just couldn't get the links in the post to cooperate, but the links on the sidebar are behaving like they should. Same address.....go figure. So to access the Examiner articles, please use the links on the right.

I've been on the computer most of the day, editing audio files for my hubby, taking an online class and playing with this blog thing!! I think I will go stamp now, that should make my brain cells relax and smile again........
Have a great night........God Bless!

Links, links and more links!

Good Morning! I have finally gotten my writing fingers wet with the Examiner. The first couple of postings were a bit tedious, learning the program and such. Check me out! I will post the links here for my page on Examiner as well as my husbands'. We are enjoying this opportunity to write about things that we cherish. Feel free to comment or add suggestions. We appreciate any input. Here are the links:

Good Tuesday evening to you all! I am seriously late in posting today. We spent several hours in town today getting things done and babysitting two adorable grandsons. Their Dad and Mom were at the doctor's office finding out about baby #3. It's a GIRL!!!! We are all pretty excited! This will be gkid #9......the first 3 were girls, then 5 boys in a row, so we are ready to start thinking PINK!
Well, on to my card today. I have been settling in to stamping in my RV. It is easier now that I have a little more room. (I have brought a few more things out of storage too, HEEHEE)
I wanted to start doing a few fall cards, and this is what I came up with today. Hope you like it, I am pleased with the way it turned out.
Thanks for stopping by today. God Bless!

Done Moving......Again

Well, I spent most of last week moving into a larger RV. WOOHOO!! WOOT! WOOT! Do I sound excited? I have space for stamping stuff in this one :0). Hoping to get some serious stamping done soon.......oh and by the way, I have been accepted to begin writing for the Boise Examiner as their Paper Craft Examiner. The Examiner is an online newspaper that carries a variety of different topics. You can pick and choose what you want to read. I'm pretty excited about that. I will be posting a link just as soon as my paper work is done. My hubby also writes for them as their Marriage Examiner. He is a great writer, be sure to check him out also. (I'll post his link also)
Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

God Bless!

Masculine Upsy Daisy???

Okay, so can you make a masculine card with the Upsy Daisy set??? I really like these colors together and the card looks great, but not so feminine. I find myself VERY challenged these days. Stamping in an RV has it's limitations, but at least I get to do something!! I have no ribbon with me, only brads and eyelets. My paper is pretty limited also. The stamps that I have with me are mostly those used with acrylic blocks, so they are easy to store. The only wood mounted sets that I have with me are Upsy Daisy, Lovely as a Tree and a sentiment set. Digi stamping may come pretty familiar to me.......I do have my Cuttlebug and EF folders.......all is not lost :0) .

Supplies: Cardstock-Stampin' Up! DCWV, Pattern Paper DCWV, Upsy Daisy set and markers-SU, Brads-JoAnn's.
Thanks for stopping by today! God Bless!

Maybe I'll Be Stationary For A While :0)

Wow, it's been forever since I have sat down and blog. Currently, we are at our "home-base" for about 5 weeks. We have spent the last month visiting family and have really enjoyed ourselves. Now it is time to settle a bit before heading south for a conference or two.
I do have a card to show you that I made a while back for my sister's birthday..........

This lovely lady is stamped with a "Golden Oldies" set that I used up at another sister's house. We had a great couple of days playing in her stamp studio. I wanted my card to be as "un-Terri like" as I could possibly come up with. This gal is just gaudy....don't you think?!! My sister is a conservative lady, who always matches and she would NEVER wear this outfit!! The dangly earrings and sparkly hair set this old girl apart in the fashionista world, I dare say! And how do you like those red shoes?? This was certainly a fun card to make and my sister enjoyed it too.
I'm hoping to get some serious stamping done in the next few weeks.......
Thanks for stopping by. God Bless!
