Asher's 2nd B-Day

Good morning! It has been a while since I posted...hopefully I am back in the saddle. I got to spend time stamping last night. It was WONDERFUL! And then I saw a MOUSE!!!! EKKKK! Luckily, he expired during the night in the trap that was set just for him! I really hate mice, unless they are made of paper, of course......

Recipe: Card base-Stampin' Up!, Pattern Paper-DCWV, Chipboard-SU, Image-TMITA, Glitter-JoAnn's, Kohinoor Pencils- Gina K , Dimensionals-JoAnn's
So- on to my card. I spent time out at my sister, Terri's house over the weekend and had made a card for the Asher-man, who is turning 2 in a few weeks. I stamped colored and put a layout together, put didn't glue everything down before bringing it home. Well, then I saw the free digi that Nina at There's Magic in the Air had on Monday. Nina posts a challenge each Monday, this week was to use any of her images and to have sparkle/glitter on the card. The icing on the cake has sparkle, hope you can see it in the picture. I snatched it up and used it instead. His name is Oscar with Cake, isn't he cute! My daughter's boys love monkeys, so it is perfect. There is only on candle on this cake, but it is okay, Asher can't count! Oscar is just delivering the cake to him......oh, and Becky don't show this to him!! :0)
Thanks for stopping by today! Blessings.......

Wonderful Winter

Good Monday morning! Hope today finds everyone warm and well. Looks like we will all make it thru another holiday season. :0)

I made this card with a winter theme in mind. The sentiment is from Verve, it is a digi stamp. Card stock is from Stampin' Up!, Pattern paper is from DCWV Winter stack. I put different sized rhinestones on each of the snowflakes (hard to see in the picture, sorry). Another quick, simple card!
Wishing everyone a week filled with family fun! God Bless!

Snowflakes and Mittens

Good Thursday to all! I got to do a little stamping yesterday. This card is for the Crazy 4 Challenge (week 15). A card with snowmen or snowflakes was the challenge.
I used my Cuttlebug Snowflake Embossing folder on the bottom layer of this card. All paper is from Stampin' Up! as is the image. It is retired from several years ago. Ribbon is from American Crafts. I put a bit of glitter glue on the hearts on the mittens. It is a pretty simple card, but then I'm a simple girl......

Here She Is......

Allow me to introduce Miss Haven Sarina to you. She is the grandbaby born On Dec. 6. Just look at those bright eyes!!! Don't you think it looks like she is saying " Grammy is that you?!". We are so proud of her progress, she is now out of the isolete and into a crib. If she can hold her temperature and pass the car seat test, she can come home! I can't wait to hold her!
This picture was taken with my daughters phone, the big white hand belongs to the nurse holding her up, on her chest is a heart monitor, all the other wires and tubes have been removed. She has gained all her weight back, plus some and is eating like a little piggie. I'm sure there will be more pictures to follow.....:0)

Brrr Baby......It's Winter!!

Good Morning All! We are having a wintery day here in my neck of the woods, so this card seems fitting! It was a simple and fun card.

The image is a digi one from VERVE, be sure to check out Julee's site. She has some awesome stamps and a beauuutiful gallery! Card stock is all Stampin' Up! Pattern Paper is from DCWV winter stack. I colored the image with Sharpie Colored markers. (who'd a thunk?!) I don't use them for a lot of projects because they tend to bleed, but if I'm careful and patient, they work well. I put a Rhinestone from JoAnn's on the cuff of the mittens, really added, thought.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! God Bless!

TMITA Blog Hop Recipe Contest

My card today is for the There's Magic in the Air blog hop. ( the link will take you to Nina's blog where you will find links to her store and the design team members. ) The hop started a few days ago and finishes today. It was really a fun thing to do. To end the contest we were given a digi image and a "recipe" to make a card. For me, it was quite a challenge, as I lean more toward simple cards.
The recipe is as follows:
The card must have:
1 tag
2 textures
3 Patterned Papers
4 Ribbons
5 Brads or Buttons
Well, as you can see from my card, I didn't quite make it. I decided to post it anyway, to let Nina know that I loved the image and appreciate the opportunity to use it. I am missing 2 pattern papers and 2 ribbons. I am in my RV and have a limited supply of stamping goodies with me.......oh well, I had a good time making this card!

Thanks for stopping in today! Hope your weekend is great! God Bless!

Baby Shower- Welcome Haven!

Happy to to all! This card was for my daughter's Baby Shower a few weeks ago. The little girl she was expecting arrived on Sunday, Dec. 6. She was not due to get here until Jan. 6., so we were all surprised but happy. Haven Sarina weighed 5 lbs. and 11 oz. and was 19 inches long. I am anxious for her to get out of the NICU so that I can hold her. Three of my nine grandchildren are helping me with this post, their names are Avi, Jo, and Judah.

Well, on to the card! Card stock is from Gina K and Stampin' Up! I used my SU scalloped edger punch on the white glossy cardstock, after I ran it thru my Cuttlebug using the Dotted Swiss embossing folder. The image is a digi image from Squigglefly.com. Isn't is adorable?
Check them out! I colored it with my Koh-i-noor pencils and blended with OMS. Ribbon is from Michaels.
Thanks for stopping in today! God Bless!

Happy Holidays

Good morning all! Today I have two holiday cards that I made. The layout is the same on both cards, as well as the color scheme. These are simple cards, the hardest part was sponging the snowflakes on the bottom layer. I used the Martha Stewart snowflake stamp for the negative, then punched a few out of silver glitter paper (on second card). The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!. I used my Nesties-small scalloped circle die and Marvy Circle punch. Pattern paper is from DCWV, and ink is SU also.

Ohhh, just looked outside, it's snowing at my house! Thanks for stopping by today! God Bless!

November Sister Swap

Happy Wednesday! I am at my daughter's house, but have a minute to post while everyone is resting. This card was for the November swap that my sisters and I do. Terri was our "hostess" , and she wanted us to make cards using the negative of a punch . Her inspiration came from the Clean and Simple Stamping blog. You can see it here.

Honestly, it took me a couple of tries before I came up with something I liked. This card turned out pretty well. Blue is my go to color. I added the paper, ribbon and pearls to cover all that WHITE space.
Recipe:
Card base-Gina K, Pattern Paper-Basic Grey, Ribbon and Pearls-Joann's, Ink-Summer Sky-Memento, Close to Cocoa- Stampin' Up!

Thanks Be To God.....

Good Tuesday afternoon. We are in Gadsden, Alabama for about a week now. It is nice to be stationary for a few days in a row. From here we will be in Carrolton, Georgia for several days and then we should be able to start home around the 15th of the month. WOOHOO! This girl is getting pretty lonesome for family! On to my card.....I made it a few weeks ago, and have been searching for the crafter who made the one I cased. I feel really awful for not having written down the info, giving proper credit is important to me. So if by chance you see this, email me and I will give the credit to you.

Audrey Jane

Good Sunday Morning! I am so excited today, we are going to Pensacola to visit a niece and nephew. Just last week they welcomed baby Audrey Jane into their family. From the pictures I have seen, she is a CUTIE! Lots of hair and round and pudgy! Just waiting for her Auntie Carol's hugs......heehee! Here is the card I made to go with her gift:

Card base is Gina K Luxury White, layered with some Stampin' Up! pink that I ran through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots EF. The brown layer is edged with my SU Scalloped Edger and the pattern paper is from my scrap box. (DCWV I think). The cute lion image is a Reflections Clear Stamp from the Zoo set at Michael's. Sentiment is a clear stamp from the dollar bin at Craft Warehouse. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and chalk to color the oval, which was punched with a Marvy Oval Punch. Image is colored with Koh-i-noor pencils.
Thanks for looking today. God Bless!

Louisana Swamp Girl

Good morning! Well, I survived the swamp tour. It was really pretty interesting. Although, I can say that each time the boat sidled up to a log where an alligator was sunning himself, I leaned WAAAY back in my seat. The boat was a small one and you could reach out and touch the alligators if you were so inclined. (that would be really stupid, I think! and of course was prohibited.) The tour guide told us that the alligators were much more afraid of us than we were of them....can't really agree with that! :0) My husband took this picture......

This picture looks like you could walk on the "green carpet". In actuality, this is a native plant that floats on the water and keeps the temperature of the water cooler. This was so quiet and peaceful. An interesting thing about this area, was that there was no bad smell. The plants and trees that grow here keep that from happening. It was a fun day and my husband is still smiling about getting to go.
Thanks for stopping by, have a blessed day!

Flowers and Tags

Happy Wednesday! We are in Abbeville, Louisana today and I thought I would post before we go on a "Swamp Tour". I may get eaten by something big and ugly......My hubby wants to go see a real, live swamp, he is intrigued by this since we live in the Pacific Northwest and we don't have that sort of thing there.
So, on to my card. I saw a card done with tags and flowers and just fell in love with the layout. Well, in the end my card didn't end up looking anything like that one, I guess I will try again later. :0).
Card base is GinaK Luxury White. Sentiment is from Theresa Momber's Happy Camper. Small pearls are Martha Stewart, everything else is Stampin' Up! (retired DSP, Tulip image, layering cardstock. Oh, and I colored the images with Koh-i-noor pencils and OMS.
Hope you enjoy! Have a great day and God Bless!

Finally...here it is girls!

Good Morning from warm, humid Texas. We are currently just outside of Austin. We will begin moving again tomorrow, heading toward the Gulf. On to my card today....this is a card for the Sisters Challenge that I do each month. Two of my sisters and I take turns with sketches and such. It is great fun. Anyway, the idea this month was to have some stitching on the card and the layout is from Crazy4 Challenges I believe. (sorry I have lost track of which week it was :0( ). Since I am in my RV and don't have my sewing machine with me, my stitching is faux stitching. I think it ended up look pretty real, though. This is a fall card that I left blank as far as sentiment goes. Soooo girls, you can use it for anything. Cardbase is SU,as well as the layered circles, pattern paper-DCWV. I used my Cuttlebug and Small Scalloped Nestie for the green circle, white circle is cut with a Marvy Punch. The stamped image is from Clear Stamps, colored with Koh-i-noor pencils and OMS. Dew Drops are from Robin's Nest. I used my Mat Stack (SU) and paper piercer to go around the edges and then connected the dots with SU's Chocolate Chip marker.
Thanks for stopping by! God Bless.......

Happy Birthday Avi!

My card today is for my granddaughter Avi's 8th
birthday. Her birthday is really on Monday.
I' m sending the link to this post in the card.
Then she will be able to go online and see the card,
plus any birthday greetings that you might
want to share with her. I think she will get a kick
out of it, don't you? So to join the fun, you can
leave her a "Happy Birthday" comment on this post!
We are traveling and can't be there for her big day,
so I hope this makes her smile. Card stock used on
this card is from DCWV. DSP is Stampin'
Up! I used my Cuttlebug and Small Scalloped Nestie
for the circle. The image is a Precious Moments one
from way back. I colored her with my Koh-i-nor pencils
and blended with OMS. There are small pearls around the inside border of the DSP on the circle.

Thanks for stopping in today. God Bless!

Squiggle Harvest

Happy Wednesday to you! While surfing my usual blog menu yesterday,
my friend Maria, at Joyful Stamper, had new images from Squigglefly. They are new digi stamps and are just plain CUTE! Since I am traveling in an RV and don't have alot of space, but still have the need to stamp....Digi stamps are perfect.
My card base is Gina K Luxury Chocolate Kiss, DSP is retired Stampin' UP! Ribbon from JoAnns, as are the leaf stickers. I colored this image with my Koh-i-nor pencils and then used OMS to blend. I am so pleased how it turned out. Check out the Squigglefly site, you will be glad you did!

Monte's Big Hurt

Good Morning from Lamar, Colorado! We are
almost to our destination in Texas, only about 8 to 9 more hours of driving left. It has been a nice trip, but I don't get alot of stamping time......
Anyway, today's card is for my BIL Monte. He had surgery last Wednesday after falling from the 3rd step of his deck at 4:30 a.m. I'm thinking of telling him to hire an electrician to install a light out there (HE'S an electrician!! And about the most safety conscious guy I know.....) Well, if he has this lovely nurse chasing him with that big hypodermic needle, he will follow doctors orders, right! The image is one I stamped off at my sis's house the summer (thanks Patti!) It is from the Golden Oldies line, I believe. Card base is retired SU, pattern paper is DCWV. Chocolate Kiss strip is Gina K. Image is colored with Koh-i-nor Pencils and blended with OMS.
I hope Monte enjoys this card and gets better soon!
Thanks for stopping by! God Bless!

Good Evening to you. I don't usually post in the evening, but won't have time in the morning. We are heading south tomorrow. My card is for the Our Creative Corner Challenge this week. It was a color challenge, Light Pink, Hot Pink, Brown and White. (not much hot pink here....you really have to look) I have always loved the stamp set that this image comes from. It is retired Stampin' Up! I've never used it with these colors, though!
Takes some getting used to...huh. Cardbase, DSP and Scallop Edge Punch are all Stampin' Up!. Snowflake Punch-Martha Stewart, Chocolate Kiss Cardstock-Gina K, Small Scalloped Square Nestibility-Spellbinders, Small White Brads are from JoAnn's Fabric and Craft.
Thanks for stopping by, I'll check in again somewhere down the road! :0) God Bless!

It is for the Crazy 4 Challenge, hop on over and check them out! My sis, Patti turned me on to them. The card base is Gina K Chocolate Kiss Pure Luxury (yummy stuff!) , layered with Old Olive (SU), which is textured with a Quikutz embossing folder and my precious Cuttlebug. Golden pattern paper is from DCWV. Twill ribbon is Stampin'Up! as is the fall tree (Lovely As a Tree) I colored it with my Koh -i-nor pencils, then used Odorless Mineral Spirits (Gina K). Brads are from JoAnn's Fabric and Craft store.
I had fun with this sketch challenge, having the layout done for you is just such an inspiration!

Chocolate Kiss Tent Topper

Good morning all! I have been having major computer problems for the last week! Gotta love it! Oh well, things seem to be working this morning....for now ;0) !
I made this card last weekend and never got to post it, so here goes....
it is a Tent Topper card, from the tutorial that Beate Johns did over at Splitcoast Stampers last week. Run over there and check it out. She gives a new technique every Wednesday.
My card is made with Gina K's Chocolate Kiss Pure Luxury stock-she is coming out with more colors all the time and they are just delicious! Chocolate Kiss, doesn't it just want to make you reach for one? DSP is from Stampin' Up! I cut the tent topper with my Square Scalloped Nestibilities and Cuttlebug. The sentiment is from Theresa Momber's great Happy Camper Set (available thru Gina K) Ink is SU. Ribbon is Offray (don't love that stripe!) Sticker trim is from SOMEWHERE........I bought them such a long time ago that I'm not sure! :0(
Thanks for stopping by today......hoping for better computer days ahead!!! God Bless!

Mojo 103

Oh Happy Day to everyone......I'll try not to break out in song here! Well, even though I have been staring at the Mojo103 sketch and dreaming about it, I didn't have time until now to complete it. Pretty late, but not too late!
My card base is Gina K Luxury White (of course), the cardstock and Designer Series paper are all from Stampin' Up! (they have such GORGEOUS DSP) Stamped images are "Just So Hippy", designed by Melanie Muenchinger for Gina K. (she has some of the most AWESOME designers on her team!) I colored that cute hippo with my Kohn-i-noor pencils and then used Odorless Mineral Spirits to blend. Ribbon is some black grosgrain from Offray.
This was a fun card to make, the sketch is very versatile. Be sure and check out Julee's Mojo Monday posts each week. So much fun!
Thanks for stopping in....God Bless!

Congratulations Darlene and Travis

Happy Sunday to you all! I hope you are enjoying your long weekend! I am. We will be on the road again tomorrow, I 'm not sure if I
will have internet for a few days. So, I may be MIA for a bit.
Anyway, on to my card. This is a wedding card for a sweet friend of ours who is getting married this next week. I was surfing on SCS when I found Lori's card and just knew it was the one I wanted to do. You can see her card here. Be sure to check out the rest of her gallery too! There is
a link to her blog, the template for the pieces is there. She made everything so easy. Thanks for sharing, Lori!
I changed things up a bit. I didn't have the SU wedding paper that she used, so I ran some black thru my Cuttlebug, using the Argyle folder for the tuxedo. The Bridal gown is from some super sparkly glitter paper I purchased at Target. I used my SU Scalloped Edger for the bottom of the gown also. Black Brads came from JoAnn's and the Pearl at the gown waistband is Martha Stewart. Oh, I almost forgot-cardstock is Gina K Luxury, both the black and the white. Its awesome stuff!
Thanks for stopping by today! God Bless.

Sister Swap

Good morning! No I'm not swapping my sisters.....two of my sisters and myself have a little card swap between ourselves each month. We take turn building or choosing a sketch, then make cards for each other. It is such fun to see what each of us do! We all have different interpretations!
My card is the one I made to send to Patti and Terri this month. I hope you enjoy it girls! (There was no stamping involved in this one) I sure like the ones I received. It was my turn to build the sketch and I think it turned out nicely.

Recipe: Cardstock-Gina K, Stampin' Up! DSP-Stampin' Up!, DCWV, Acorn sticker-Making Memories (I think ), Brads-Making Memories, Cuttlebug, Small Scalloped Nesties. Mat Stack and Piercer (SU)

Enjoy your long weekend. God Bless!

MOJO 102

Happy Wednesday to everyone! My card today is for Julee's Mojo Monday. This is sketch 102 for her! What a great talent she is! I really enjoyed doing this sketch and I liked how the card turned out. Hope you do too!
The card base is that wonderful Gina K Luxury 120 pound! (White, this time.) Pattern paper is from a DCWV stack from way back. I used my Nestibilities to cut the small scallop circle, then a Marvy punch for the plain circle. A Paper Shapers punch did the work on the corner for me. The ink used is Danube Blue from Memento-just love their ink! I find it works best on the clear stamps. Stamped images are by Inkadinkado and the sentiment is from Theresa Momber's "Happy Camper" (GKD). Small oval pearls are Martha Stewart and ribbon is from.......who know? :0)
Thanks for stopping in today! God Bless!

Happy Birthday Jim!

Good Day to you all. It is not quite noon here, so I am in between Good Morning and Good Afternoon!
The card I have today, I made over the weekend for my son Jim. He will be 26 tomorrow....he is my baby. I try not to think about it much, cuz' that might make me feel OLD!
I started by sponging the background with Memento's Summer Sky and Danube Blue. I was hoping to make it look like clouds over the mountains. I'm getting there, but still have a ways to go with sponging/blending colors. (I'd like to be a mouse in Theresa Mombers' closet, just to watch how she does this!!) The green is Stampin' Up's Mellow Moss. Cardstock is GinaK's Chocolate Kiss and SU Whisper White. Pattern paper is from a Basic Grey stack. Happy Birthday and Mountain images are from the Happy Camper set by Theresa Momber.
Hope you enjoy! Have a great day. God Bless!

365 Cards Challenge-Aug. 29

Happy Saturday! I don't usually post on Saturday, but I came across this challenge blog and wanted to join in. The blog is called 365 Cards-a new challenge for each day of the year. How fun!!
Today the challenge was to make a sporty kind of card. I bought this baseball image from Gina K Designs several months ago and have never used it on a card. I haven't been happy with the way that I color it. Still not quite there, but it is getting better. Since baseball is the All-American sport, I used this patriotic paper from DCWV. Card stock is Stampin' Up! Circles cut with a Marvy punch and blue panel cut with Nesties Labels One (I think). Colored the image with Koh-i-noor Pencils and blended with OMS. Star buttons from Walmart.
Hope you enjoy! Thanks for stopping by. God Bless!

Mojo Monday 101

Good afternoon, boy the day flies when you are busy. I have been planning to play along with Mojo Monday all week, and finally today, I got to it.
The challenge was to be a square card, but mine is a rectangle, standard size....the sketch fit pretty well though.
This card is literally made with scrap stuff, so it is hard to give credit for each piece. I can tell you for sure that the cardstock is from Stampin' Up! The lower pattern paper is also SU. Upper paper is from a DCWV stack. I used a Quikutz embossing folder, small circle scalloped nesties with my Cuttlebug. The stamped image is from Anita's (Sugarloaf Industries). I used Really Rust ink to stamp it. The ribbon is SU also. Well, I guess my memory is better than I thought......:D!
Thanks for stopping by today. God Bless!

Much Ado.....

Well, after fiddling with my blog for quite awhile today......you can see I changed a few things. I was feeling just a bit cluttered, so I changed the template to something that looked a little cleaner. I guess since I can't rearrange the furniture in my RV, I have to rearrange SOMETHING!! ;0)

Played around with those Examiner links and just couldn't get the links in the post to cooperate, but the links on the sidebar are behaving like they should. Same address.....go figure. So to access the Examiner articles, please use the links on the right.

I've been on the computer most of the day, editing audio files for my hubby, taking an online class and playing with this blog thing!! I think I will go stamp now, that should make my brain cells relax and smile again........
Have a great night........God Bless!

Links, links and more links!

Good Morning! I have finally gotten my writing fingers wet with the Examiner. The first couple of postings were a bit tedious, learning the program and such. Check me out! I will post the links here for my page on Examiner as well as my husbands'. We are enjoying this opportunity to write about things that we cherish. Feel free to comment or add suggestions. We appreciate any input. Here are the links:

If you are having trouble with these links, check back. At times the Examiner site takes a bit to pick up. Be sure to check your firewall settings also :0)

Good Tuesday evening to you all! I am seriously late in posting today. We spent several hours in town today getting things done and babysitting two adorable grandsons. Their Dad and Mom were at the doctor's office finding out about baby #3. It's a GIRL!!!! We are all pretty excited! This will be gkid #9......the first 3 were girls, then 5 boys in a row, so we are ready to start thinking PINK!
Well, on to my card today. I have been settling in to stamping in my RV. It is easier now that I have a little more room. (I have brought a few more things out of storage too, HEEHEE)

Done Moving......Again

Well, I spent most of last week moving into a larger RV. WOOHOO!! WOOT! WOOT! Do I sound excited? I have space for stamping stuff in this one :0). Hoping to get some serious stamping done soon.......oh and by the way, I have been accepted to begin writing for the Boise Examiner as their Paper Craft Examiner. The Examiner is an online newspaper that carries a variety of different topics. You can pick and choose what you want to read. I'm pretty excited about that. I will be posting a link just as soon as my paper work is done. My hubby also writes for them as their Marriage Examiner. He is a great writer, be sure to check him out also. (I'll post his link also)
Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

God Bless!

Masculine Upsy Daisy???

Okay, so can you make a masculine card with the Upsy Daisy set??? I really like these colors together and the card looks great, but not so feminine. I find myself VERY challenged these days. Stamping in an RV has it's limitations, but at least I get to do something!! I have no ribbon with me, only brads and eyelets. My paper is pretty limited also. The stamps that I have with me are mostly those used with acrylic blocks, so they are easy to store. The only wood mounted sets that I have with me are Upsy Daisy, Lovely as a Tree and a sentiment set. Digi stamping may come pretty familiar to me.......I do have my Cuttlebug and EF folders.......all is not lost :0) .

Supplies: Cardstock-Stampin' Up! DCWV, Pattern Paper DCWV, Upsy Daisy set and markers-SU, Brads-JoAnn's.

Maybe I'll Be Stationary For A While :0)

Wow, it's been forever since I have sat down and blog. Currently, we are at our "home-base" for about 5 weeks. We have spent the last month visiting family and have really enjoyed ourselves. Now it is time to settle a bit before heading south for a conference or two.
I do have a card to show you that I made a while back for my sister's birthday..........

This lovely lady is stamped with a "Golden Oldies" set that I used up at another sister's house. We had a great couple of days playing in her stamp studio. I wanted my card to be as "un-Terri like" as I could possibly come up with. This gal is just gaudy....don't you think?!! My sister is a conservative lady, who always matches and she would NEVER wear this outfit!! The dangly earrings and sparkly hair set this old girl apart in the fashionista world, I dare say! And how do you like those red shoes?? This was certainly a fun card to make and my sister enjoyed it too.
I'm hoping to get some serious stamping done in the next few weeks.......
Thanks for stopping by. God Bless!

Gone For a Bit

Good Morning. Just a short post today. Seems life has taken another turn for hubby and I. We are making a move, so I won't be able to post cards for a bit. Days will be full of packing and planning for what is ahead. We may be on the road in our fifth wheel trailer for a while and I haven't figured out how to make my stamping fit.....there is such a limited amount of space. It will be an adventure for us for sure. Be sure and check back for updates......I know I will miss making and posting cards.

Father's Day

Happy rainy morning to you! I'm not sure there is water anywhere else on the planet with all the rain we have been getting here. I guess it is a good thing in the long run, just doesn't feel much like summer yet. So here is one of the Father's Day cards I have been working on. I'm trying to get better with my sponging, I have a long way to go, I tend to put the ink on too heavily, but I'm WORKIN' on it!....:0)..... Hope you enjoy.

MOJO 90

Good Morning. It is overcast and rainy here in Idaho today.......not so bad I guess, I can stay in and stamp! Today's card is my MOJO Monday submission. I made the card using 1 full sheet of Gina K Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock folded in half, so it is larger than most cards I make. It is for my mother-in-law for her birthday in a few weeks. I also added the sentiment on the front of the card (which was not part of the sketch), I just couldn't get used to that big, white space.

Supplies: Cardstock-Gina K, Stampin' Up!, DSP-Stampin' Up!, Stamps- SU, Inkadinkado, Ink-Rose Red-Memento, Koh-i-noor Pencils, OMS, Cuttlebug EF and Scallop Circle Nestibilities-Spellbinders.

Good afternoon! It has been a busy day for me, but I saw all the cute cards for this challenge and just had to give it a go! The challenge I'm referring to is over at STAMP TV, be sure and check it out! The card is a bit of an off size, so that was challenging for me. It is an 8x8 piece of cardstock folded in half. I like it now, I'm sure I will use this size more often.

More Fun Little Boys .......

This was such a fun card to make. I was inspired by the card made by Theresa Momber and began searching for other samples on SCS. I found several really nice cards, but none of them used cars/trucks. So this is what I came up with.......I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and the story it tells. I know my grandson will enjoy this because trucks are his thing!

Supplies: Cardstock-Gina K, Stampin' Up! Patterned Paper-DCWV Images-SU-Little Trucks (retired) Cuttlebug Diecuts, Markers, Glitter Pen, Fabric Paint

Frogs and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails....

......that's what little boys are made of. I have several grandson birthdays to get ready for this summer, so I thought I should get a jump start on the cards. For this one, I ran some patterned paper from DCWV thru my Cuttlebug, using the Divine Swirls EF. I think it gives this card nice background texture. The googly-eyed frog is so cute. I know the boy who gets this card will enjoy them!
